MOVIE TITLE: THE SHEPHERD

"Ex-cop and current border patrol agent Jack Robideaux (Jean-Claude Vann Damme) becomes a one-man crime-fighting force when he tries to take down a rogue American Special Forces unit in this action thriller. Determined to thwart a plan to smuggle millions of dollars' worth of Afghan heroin into the United States, Robideaux takes on crooked bureaucrats and cunning cartel members on both sides of the border. Scott Adkins and Stephen Lord co-star."

In this one Jean-Claude Vann Damme play's Jack, a border patrol officer that takes it on his own to stop the drug runners coming through Mexico. The Shepherd is filled with action, and plenty of gun fights. Jack carries around a bunny rabbit, which he gets asked about through out the whole movie. I give this one a 7 out of 10.

MOVIE TITLE: AWAKE

"Jesica Alba, Hayden Christenson, and Terrence Howard star in first-time director/screenwriter Joby Harold's nerve-jangling psychological thriller about a man who experiences the frighteningly common surgical phenomenon known as "anesthetic awareness," in which those laid out on the operating table remain acutely aware of what is going on around them despite remaining completely paralyzed and unable to cry out for help."

Awake was not as good as I was expecting it to be. There were parts that were quite boring for me, including what seemed like 15 minutes were the main guy talks to himself. The main thing about this movie entertaining for me was it having Jessica Alba in it. Although there were quite a few boring parts in this movie for me, I still give it a 7 out of 10 because it did have a twist.

MOVIE TITLE: YOU GOT SERVED

Directed by Chris Stokes, You got served is based around two friends David (Omarion Grandberry), Elgin (Marques Houston), and their crew of break dancers. Everything goes good, doing battles at the local spot where groups go to battle with dance. Mr. Rad (Steve Harvey) is the host of the local battle spot, he keeps things in order between groups.

Things go well until this new crew comes to town lead by Wade (Christopher Jones) and challenges their crew with a bet of $5000.00. The challenge comes earlier than expected so Elgin does what he has to to get the money they need. Now and then David and Elgin do jobs for this one guy dropping money off places, one night when Elgin and David are supposed to do a run David is out with Elgin's sister Liyah (Jennifer Freeman) and Elgin gets held up. After that Elgin blames David and things get heated and the crew splits up.

Elgin is in trouble as he only has a few weeks to get the money back that was jacked from him. There is a big contest coming up with a grand prize of $50,000 with the best crews from all over showing up. When all things come down to it the only way they can win is if Elgin and David put the past behind them and team up once again. When things get tight at the contest they receive a surprise when Oscar shows up, he's just what they needed to be put over the edge.

You got served has a great soundtrack as well from popular Hip Hop songs to a remix of the Fur Elise classical, who ever thought put a beat to Fur Elise was thinking outside the box! This is a mix of drama and comedy, I give it a 9 out of 10.

MOVIE TITLE: TITANIC

I believe most people must have either seen or at least heard of Titanic. Titanic has to be one of my favorite romantic type movies, which of course is based around the true event of the 1912 sinking of the Titanic. Kate Winslet plays Rose DeWitt Bukater, the high class girl who is bored of her life tell she meets Jack Dawson who is played by Leonardo DiCaprio.

The story of Jack Dawson and Rose is being told by the character credited as "old rose" which no one knew to be alive. She tells the story of how they met, how they spent their time together all the way to the end. If you have not seen this movie yet I recommend seeing it at least once. I give it a 10 out of 10, which I don't give out very often!

Note: Although based around the true event of the sinking of Titanic, the story is fictional as the Titanic's passenger list did not have a Rose Dawson (or Rose DeWitt Bukater), nor Jack Dawson.

MOVIE TITLE: DONNIE DARKO

"A high school student must face his dark destiny as delusions bring him face to face with a demonic rabbit who has eerie visions of the past and deadly predictions for the future in this intricate web that will leave you questioning what is real and what is mere hallucination. Jake Gvllenhaal leads an all-star cast including Drew Barrymore, Noah Wyle, Jena Malone, Patrick Swayze and Mary Mcdonnell in the mesmerizing story that took audiences by storm."

Donnie Darko is a boy who has some major issues. The movie takes place in 1988, the Darko family's life changed when a jet engine fell onto their house. After the incident people started to notice that Donnie Darko is rapidly changing personalities.

This is one of them movies where you think you know the ending, but then there is a twist. There is quite a bit of bad language, I give it a 6 out of 10. Parts seem dragged out and that got boring to me.

MOVIE TITLE: THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY

“Filled with endless laughs and unbelievable sight gags, this “cheerfully crude and way over the line” (Los Angeles Times) romantic comedy is a “gut-busting blast” (USA Today). Still suffering from a high school crush on Mary (Cameron Diaz), the nerdy, angst-driven Ted (Ben Stiller) tracks her down thirteen years later with the help of sleazy private investigator Pat Healy (Matt Dillon). But after one look at Mary, Healy decides he wants her for himself and soon the two men are engaged in an outrageous all-out battle for Mary’s affections.”

This is a pretty funny romantic comedy; a high school crush lasts 13 years so he hires a guy recommended by a friend to find his high school crush. They both want her which makes it funny as they fight for a girl everyone seems to be wanting! I give this movie a 7 out of 10, would be hire but throughout the movie there are these two guys who sing and they annoyed me, but I loved the ending!

MOVIE TITLE: THE NOTEBOOK

"As teenagers, Allie (Rachel McAdams) and Noah (Rya Gosling) begin a whirlwind courtship that soon blossoms into tender intimacy. The young couple is quickly separated by Allie's upper-class parents who insist that Noah isn't right for her. Several years pass, and when they meet again, their passion is rekindled, forcing Allie special meaning to an older gentleman (James Garner) who regularly reads the timeless love story to his aging companion (Gena Rowlands)."

Here is a romantic story of love, loss, and renewal. A young man meets a girl and falls in love, she is the daughter of a well to d family, he works at the local lumber mill for $0.40 an hour. The problem lies in the well to do parents as they see him unfit for their daughter. As in most romantic movies things start out rough, get good, end good/bad.

Has a few nudity scenes, and a ending that I didn't see coming the way it did. I give this one a 7 out of 10. As always, feel free to leave a comment and state your opinion. Post to ya later!
