MOVIE TITLE: THE SHEPHERD

"Ex-cop and current border patrol agent Jack Robideaux (Jean-Claude Vann Damme) becomes a one-man crime-fighting force when he tries to take down a rogue American Special Forces unit in this action thriller. Determined to thwart a plan to smuggle millions of dollars' worth of Afghan heroin into the United States, Robideaux takes on crooked bureaucrats and cunning cartel members on both sides of the border. Scott Adkins and Stephen Lord co-star."

In this one Jean-Claude Vann Damme play's Jack, a border patrol officer that takes it on his own to stop the drug runners coming through Mexico. The Shepherd is filled with action, and plenty of gun fights. Jack carries around a bunny rabbit, which he gets asked about through out the whole movie. I give this one a 7 out of 10.

MOVIE TITLE: AWAKE

"Jesica Alba, Hayden Christenson, and Terrence Howard star in first-time director/screenwriter Joby Harold's nerve-jangling psychological thriller about a man who experiences the frighteningly common surgical phenomenon known as "anesthetic awareness," in which those laid out on the operating table remain acutely aware of what is going on around them despite remaining completely paralyzed and unable to cry out for help."

Awake was not as good as I was expecting it to be. There were parts that were quite boring for me, including what seemed like 15 minutes were the main guy talks to himself. The main thing about this movie entertaining for me was it having Jessica Alba in it. Although there were quite a few boring parts in this movie for me, I still give it a 7 out of 10 because it did have a twist.

MOVIE TITLE: FREDDY VS JASON

“Freddy Krueger is in hell-literally! And like an inmate with a life sentence, Freddy’s been plotting a fantastic revenge…all he needs is a little help. In comes Jason Voorhees, the equally iconic madman and perfect means for Freddy to once again instill fear on Elm Street. As the bodies begin to pile up, it becomes clear that Jason isn’t willing to step aside. Now, with a terrified town in the middle, the two titans of terror enter into a horrifying and gruesome showdown. Winner kills all!”

Friday the 13th collides with a nightmare on Elm Street. It’s been years since people found a way to forget about Freddy Krueger, with no one scared of him he has no power so he teams up with Jason Voorhees. I give this movie 9 out of 10 because of the great idea for Jason to start killing on Elm Street to remind people of Freddy Krueger.

Things become annoying for Freddy Krueger when Jason Voorhees keeps murdering those who remember and dream of him, that’s when things get really heated. While being a horror film it has it’s funny parts as well. Like all Jason Voorhees movies this one to has nudity and bad language, blood, gore, and loaded with screams! MOVIE TITLE: HOUSE OF WAX

Thrills and chills ooze all over you in House of Wax, from Dark Castle Entertainment and legendary horror producers Joel Silver and Robert Zemeckis(Gothika, House on Haunted Hill). When their car breaks down on a road trip, six college friends are sidetracked into an eerie backwoods town. Curiosity gets the better of them when they are intrigued by its macabre House of Wax. They soon find out that the town is not what it seems and they must find their way out before they fall victim to its ghoulishly inventive killers.

This is a movie that makes you wonder about peoples hobbies, or how far they take them. Six college buddies are heading to LSU stadium to see a game when they decide to break for the night and set up camp in the middle of no where, which is their first big mistake out of many. After finding out a fan belt broke a couple stay behind to fix it, after getting into town they find it's like a ghost town, this is where the fun begins.

House of Wax keeps the action going, while not all that scary unless you scare easy, it's still a good movie I give it a 8 out of 10. As always, feel free to leave a comment and state your opinion. Post to ya later!

MOVIE TITLE: THE THIRST

Clean and sober for the first time in years, Lisa (Clare Kramer) and Maxx (Matt Keeslar) are just beginning to get their lives together when they fall under the spell of the seductive Darius (Jeremy Sisto), the leader of a local vampire clan. Lured into his world, the couple soon finds a new addiction -- blood -- in this darkly humorous gore fest co-starring Adam Baldwin and featuring the music of Rasputina, Jack the Mad and more.

Hmm, what can I say about this one... It had it's good parts, but just as many bad parts. It wasn't just another no budget independent horror movies which we have seen a lot over the past year or so, however, it wasn't no big budget movie either. There was quite a bit of nudity, and even more gore as the vampires don't just suck the blood in this one, they rip out pieces of flesh. I enjoyed the soundtrack on this movie though. I give it a 7 out of 10.

MOVIE TITLE: THE DESCENT

The Descent A pleasure caving trip turns frightful in this horror film writte and directed by Neil Marshall. Six girlfriends, led by thrill seeker Juno (Natalie Mendoza), go spelunking a year after a tragic incident. But when they get trapped under the earth, all rationale excapes them as they start to suffer from limited oxygen and delusions...or are they? Now, the friends must find a way to escape the cave and the murky creatures that lie within it. (2006)

My opinion on this movie is mixed feelings. I liked the movie it's self, the creatures was cool, but everything was so dark it kind of got annoying. The tragic incident at the start was sad, then the movie takes place one year later where a group of girls go to explore a cave, but it's not the cave they orignally thought they was going too which was only a spelunking class level of 2, Juno the thrill seeker lied and went to a cave never before explored (so she thought). This movie has a few parts that made me go "oh that shouldn't have happend", I give it a 8 out of 10 and would watch it again just for the creatures faces!
